I am happy to report that I have returned from Japan and have recovered from the jet-lag, sushi stupor and superficial throwing star injuries. Additionally, this is now Week 51 of Schendo's Bad Grammar, which has now out survived most internet Blogs by at least 50 or so weeks.
What does the future hold? Probably more of the same crap you've come to expect. But at least it will be new crap.
For now, I am winnowing out the pictures and stories from my most recent trip eastward, which will hopefully be ready to post following the conclusion of NYC2IST. In the meantime, our Word of the Moment feature will be taking a closer look at some of the words we have borrowed from the Japanese (and vice versa). That will begin today, with a closer look at one of the first English loanwords from Japanese: tycoon.
Thanks everyone for reading, and here's to another year and another heaping shovelful of Schendo added to the pile.
